About the job

We are looking for a temporary Junior Credit Controller for our client, a global fashion brand based in Amsterdam. You will be supporting the Scandinavian credit control team, and therefore speaking Danish or Swedish at a professionally proficient level is preferred.

Tasks

  • Monitor the a/r ageing;
  • Contact customers regarding overdue invoices;
  • Resolve payment differences/disputes;
  • Report to credit insurance company concerning overdue customers and legal proceedings;
  • Do regular credit reviews to maximize delivery performance whilst minimizing credit exposure;
  • Assist in maintaining customer master data;
  •  Reconcile payments;
  • Inform and liaise with sales/customer service;
  • Maintain control files/reports.

General requirements

  • Good internal and external communication skills;
  • Knowledge of various methods of payment;
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting;
  • PC literate with well developed spreadsheet and word processing skills (MS Excel and MS Word);
  • Good, confident and assertive yet patient telephone manner;
  • Attention to detail and the willingness to “discover” and “innovate”;
  • Good arithmetic skills;
  • Good organization and administrative skills;
  • Commercial orientation towards customer requirements;
  • Good spoken and written knowledge of either the Swedish or Danish language is preferred.
