In the heart of T-Mobile, our IP Design team that secures and designs our main highway of data for three brands, T-Mobile, T-Mobile Thuis and Tele2, you will be responsible for all (re)design of the network and services.

You optimize our service, making sure that all our customers can be unlimited connected to the internet, watching movies or making endless calls on Whatsapp or other messaging services. You make sure every dad or mum can dance endlessly on TikTok video's made by there children;-) 

Every day is different, with new challenges in our Network design, new projects. Never a dull moment. You will be part of the fundament and success of our 5G network.

You will standardize, automate and migrate scripts/automation. Furthermore, agile/scrum teaming. Moreover, you will test software releases and test new devices prior launch of any improvement or (re)design. Special customer projects, 3rd line support/problem analysis and new service developments are also key responsibilities in this position.

The tasks of the IP Network Designer include;

• Lifecycle alternative design (out of spare solutions);
• Supplier contact (problem cases, new developments);
• Work with cost models;
• Documentation (planning guides, troubleshooting guides etc).

The position is officially based in Diemen, but you can work anywhere at any place.

For this position we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge and understanding of IP networks. The more senior you are, the more we expect from you, for example working closely with Network Architecture.

This means obviously experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment, Certificates as CCNP, CCDP and/or CCIP And/or Juniper JNCIP are nice to have's and the more senior you are, the more we like to see them;-)  

BGP & ISIS are relevant since we use these on a daily basis.  Also a must have knowledge is Gigabit Ethernet, Multicast, VPN and WiFi, 

Nice to have's or you need to know what we are talking about when we discuss, the following protocols: DHCP, RADIUS, SNMP, MPLS. IPv4 is mandatory, IPv6 is preferable, Other nice to have's are QOS (Quality Of Service), MetroE and scripting/programming

Next to this you have:

• Hands-on working experience as Network Engineer (Junior to Senior level can apply)
• Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Coaching/training skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Innovative, creative and pro-active.
